Thanksgiving Countdown

Last year I started a new tradition using this countdown calendar from Pottery Barn. 

They've changed the design, but it will still work!  Each day I have the kids write one thing they are thankful on little printables from Beth Proudfoot cut out with a scalloped hole punch and hung with raffia.

I'm also keeping a journal of all their answers!  I just bought a blank journal at Target and added this printable on the front.

Responsibility Chart

I saw the Melissa & Doug magnetic chore chart at a friend's house and thought it was a great idea.  I've been wanting to find something to motivate Tatum to pitch in around the house (actually really mostly to start sleeping alone)!  Of course, I wasn't patient enough to order one and wait for it to be delivered so I created my own.  You can download a generic version here.  Just print and place in an 8x10 frame.  Then use a whiteboard marker for the check marks.  The first 2 days have been successful.  Fingers crossed this will work long term!
